Storyline:     

Upset about moving from a big city to a small town, teenager Zach Cooper (Dylan Minnette) finds a silver lining when he meets the beautiful girl, Hannah (Odeya Rush), living right next door. But every silver lining has a cloud, and Zach's comes when he learns that Hannah has a mysterious dad who is revealed to be R. L. Stine (Jack Black), the author of the bestselling Goosebumps series. It turns out that there is a reason why Stine is so strange... he is a prisoner of his own imagination - the monsters that his books made famous are real, and Stine protects his readers by keeping them locked up in their books. When Zach unintentionally unleashes the monsters from their manuscripts and they begin to terrorize the town, it's suddenly up to Stine, Zach, Hannah, and Zach's friend Champ (Ryan Lee) to get all of them back in the books where they belong.

I remember when I was young the Goosebumps TV show, but I was never got into it, or the books they are based on past the the point of just knowing who R.L. Stine is.

It's a perfect treat for Halloween as a group of children accidentally unleash the monsters from Stine's mind, by unlocking the books they were written into.

It's a fantastic adventure as Stine and this group of kids attempt to put his monsters back into the books.

It's a fun story even if you are not aware of Goosebumps, but I'm sure if you are a huge fan, you'll get a real kick out of seeing some of the monsters from your favorite book make an appearance on the big screen.

It's not just a fun film as some of the monsters were real creepy. Like the Gnome army, the giant prey mantis and especially a ventriloquist "puppet" voiced by Jack Black (who also plays a fictional version of Stine).

It's a great time at the movies.

Now, the utterly surprised Mike must use his new found abilities to save himself and his girlfriend from getting wasted.

It's fun too watch for a few good laughs if you got nothing better to do.

It's not on the level of Pineapple Express and I have to say American Ultra could have used the talent from Pineapple Express to make a better stoner action Drama. 

I liked Jesse Eisenberg's last attempt at the action comedy that was 30 minutes or less and of course his take in Zombie land. This movie made me realize that I'm actually not that big of a fan of what Eisenberg is about. It's like watching Woody Allen as John McClain. 

But overall, it's stupid in the good way. The type of movie you want to watch while stoned out of your mind, it's designed for that type of thing. 

Definitely a cool concept that's fun watch.

I went into the movie for my birthday, being a young woman my twin and I were initially attracted by the 2 leading male actors who were captivating & handsome- but is that enough to make a movie watchable to a certain degree? No. But this movie beat my expectations. I had already read some online reviews by critics but to be honest I don't know what movie they had went to see since the reviews were overwhelmingly negative but it couldn't have been 'The Man From U.N.C.L.E.'. It was a witty, and smart movie where each actor didn't outshine one another. I personally do not trust critics since they tend to like boring movies like 'The Lincoln Lawyer' that put me to sleep. It's almost as if the movie was too witty for them & the quips and snarky comments went over their daft heads and left a sour taste in their mouths.

I recommend this movie to anyone if you liked the Robert Downey Jr. Sherlock movies then you will thoroughly enjoy this. My only wish is that it was a little longer but that doesn't detract from the quality of the movie.
